Binx's day at the Water Park!

I can not believe it, today I got to go the a water park called Cypress Gardens Splash Island. I had so much fun there! My Blake and Gregory went with Mom and I. They mostly lounged around though. My mom and I played the whole time! There was this big pool I got to go into it with no one telling me that furry ones like me can't go in! Mom took me to this big thing that had stairs, we went up them and mom put me onto this weird thing and gave me a little push and I flew down to the bottom in the water, holy wow! I was thinking what the heck was that and where did my mom go!

October Is Breast Cancer Awareness Month

Hi there to all the fur friends out there! My mom wants to be sure that all the Pet moms out there know that it is Breast Cancer Awareness Month all through October. This is one of the many very important causes for my mom. She said that when she was in her early 20's she had to be have a scary thing called a biopsy on her breast for cancer. I am so glad that she got checked when she saw a problem and it thankfully turned out to be not cancer. Her Doctor at the time said it was very important to have it checked even though she thought she would not have to worry about that at her age then!

Binx's Review of Honeymoon Island State Park Beach

Hello all dog families, I had another adventure this past weekend! My mom has this great book called The Dog Lover's Companion to Florida and it is full of great places to go. The new beach we found this time is called Honeymoon Island State Park Beach. It is a dog friendly beach in Dunedin, Florida. It was around 20 miles from Busch Gardens in Tampa. It is $5 per car to get in and the walk from the car to the beach on the path is not far at all. All dogs must be kept on a 6 foot leash at all times.

Houseguest

Tales From Beneath the Futon

I could hardly sleep last night.

Zelda has become a long-term guest at the Palace. She barks a lot at night. The humans said something like 5 weeks she'd be staying here. She's determined to attack me and Bagel. Luckily we're not allowed in the house when she's here (not that I would go in there anyway).

Cujo's Tip on Coloring Your Fur for Halloween

Hi amigos and amigas!
If you wanna color your hair for Halloween, tell your parents the safe way to do it!

Food coloring is pretty safe, since if we lick it it won't hurt us. Unsweetened Kool-Aid is good too.

Tell your mom or dad to mix the food coloring or the Kool-Aid with fresh water at room temperature. For a little guy like me, mom fills a bath with the water. You bigger guys and gals can use squirt bottles.

They can then use our comb or brush to work the water through our fur, and we like that, si!
