Quick update - new product idea!

Hey guys - just have a minute before I head out for some grub(s). Yesterday I mentioned the albino lizard and was pondering out loud if they made lizard sun protection.

Man, after what I saw today, a little sunburn is the least that dude has to worry about. There I was, just scratchin' around and I noticed the albino lizard. He was hanging around on a little ledge near the pool.

Then I heard a noise (my ears are small but they're really, really good.) It was the yard dude, with a weed whacker. Now, me, I have no fear of weed whackers. They just bounce right off.

Sad News From Lake Mary

Got sad news today in Rarotonga. Heard from the herd that Augustus has passed on. Kicked the bucket. Became road kill (literally). Bought the farm. Met the grim reaper. Bought the big one. Was beamed up. Bought the pine condo. Croaked. Checked out.

Actually, he became road kill. Literally. Just proves, it ain't easy to be a tough-ass armadillo.

I'll miss his smart mouth and his stories of Lake Mary. But, I hear that one of the other critters in the area may be taking over.

Stay tuned. Peace out.

And The Winner Is...

Ok, here's the deal. In the backyard is a cement wall. The human probably calls it stucco or something fancy, but it's a wall, ok?

About six inches below the top of the wall is a narrow ledge. Supposed to be decorative, I guess, but I've noticed it's become a mouse highway.

This morning, I was just hanging in the yard, grubbing around for a snack when I noticed one of the squirrels jumping from the palm tree to the top of the wall. At the same time, out pops a mouse from a hole in the wall onto the ledge, just below the squirrel.

Now, I don't know if they had this planned, or it was just a magnificent example of syncronicity, but there they were, poised to run the length of the wall. In seconds, the race was on.

It's like living in the Wild Kingdom right here in the 'burbs

Well, I hope ya'll will be patient with me. Don't use the computer much, what with my nails being a tad on the long side, so I'm brand new to this blogging thing.

I just have the urge to tell somebody about what's been going on here in Lake Mary. And now that most of my buddies are road kill, well, I'm just hoping to make some new friends.

Let me tell you about my neighborhood. Years ago it was just orange trees and termites. Lots of room for an armadillo to roam. And plenty of romantic places for a young armadillo to get his groove on with the ladies. Not anymore. Way back in the early '90s, they cut down all the orange trees and built houses.
