Why the Doggles?

Hello to all the wonderful animal of petentials!

My human mother brought a present home for me this afternoon. She was all excited and I was all excited, thinking I was going to get a yummy treat or a toy to play with and she pulls out this pair of "doggles". What in the world. For those of you who don't know, they are doggie sunglasses. She said I looked cool, but you know what? I HATE THEM! I kept trying to get them off, and my dad was like no Bubba don't take them off. But I don't want to wear them! Finally dad, took them off and handed them to my mom and told her to sell them on Ebay, not to torture me. THANK YOU DAD! YOU ARE TOO COOL! Why would my mom do that to me. But then after that, they took me for a ride in the SUV and rolled the windows down for me. Now that was a treat!

Bubba I bet you looked cute with your doggles! And I bet you used the doggles trick to get your parents to take you for that ride. My brother Pando pulls stuff like that. He digs holes under the fence and shows up at the front door so mom will buy him big bones and give him a late night snack.
You bad boys you! :)

hi there bubba and family, as you know, my binx has doggles, too! he is relly not very fond of them either but wears them for me anyway, he is such a sport! the reason i got them for my binx is after i got my sunglasses because i was squinting in the florida sun so much and i noticed that my binx was as well. he is getting used to them more and when he wants them off he just shakes his head really well and they go up on top of his head and then he shakes his head again and down they come! i usually only put them on him when he starts to squint a lot when we are out and about. maybe if you keep trying a few minutes at a time bubba will get used to them also! i bet they sure were cute on him just the same! have a great day, i have to hug a binx thunderstorm just started! :) binx and susan

Maybe we will try that, a few minutes at a time. They sure look good on him and makes him look COOOLLLL! Thanks for the advice I'll try it and keep you up to date!

hi there, we look forward to hearing how it goes, believe me, it took awhile before binx would relax with them, i just didn't want him to squint in the sun anymore! he is so much better now and when we are in the car riding around he sits there like a little person with them on seatbelted into the front seat, it is so cute and he really does look like a cool dog, who can see better without the sun in his eyes!! have a great day and good luck! :) binx and susan

Yes, I'll let you know how it goes. I figured they need sunglasses like we do, the slightest bit of sun and I've got to have mine on. I'm addicted now. Besides dog's dont have the eyelashes like we do (not that that helps with the sun much). I bet Binx is so cool sitting in the front seat with a seatbelt and glasses. You need to get a picture of that! I need to get Gabbi some doggles (they didn't have her size at the store), I found some on Ebay that are pink (so cute) I may get those for her! i have to agree with you

i have to agree with you there, it really would seem that their little eyes should be protected as well as ours especially if it is clear that the sun is bothering them! i need to get my sons to take a picture of him and i in the car like that, i am sure that it must be really funny to see! he really does sit right up straight for a long part of the ride when we go somewhere and he has a harness that the seatbelt goes through so he is buckled up just like the rest of us, i don't want my little one flying out a window!! when i get one i will let you know, maybe this sunday! have a great day and give it some time a little bit of doggles at a time and your pups will start to get used to them!! :) binx and susan
