My first time at the beach

Hello all my favorite animals! My family took me to the beach for the first time this past week. I LOVED IT! The only thing I didn't like was the water moving toward me as I'm walking on the sand. So I freaked out a bit the first time that happened. There were other dogs there, but my dad wouldn't let me play or even sniff them. He didn't want me to scare anyone (I guess because I'm kinda big - but y'all know I wouldn't hurt anyone!) There were kids playing ball and ooohhhh how I wanted to catch it! But again, my dad wouldn't let me. But he did throw sticks for me and I LOVE STICKS!! Of course I think you already know that. I got lots of treats. They bought me this nice biscuit bone with white and brown chocolate (it wasn't the real chocolate but stuff for dogs). IT WAS GOOOODDD! Only took me maybe one second to eat that yummy treat. Okay, I'll let you other wonderful animals get on with your day, just wanted to give you my thoughts on the beach. Maybe next time I won't be scared of the waves. Bark at ya later. Woof out!

Hi Bubba, I love the beach to! My first time to the ocean was great and I had a great time. We tried to go to Daytona Beach but they said no dogs, can you imagine! We found a great beach called Flagler beach here in Florida a little ways from Daytona and they love us dogs there! I even have my very own life jacket since I am not a strong swimmer and those waves really are huge!! The only thing is that I had to stay on my leash the whole time also, what a stinker!! have a great day! :) Binx

Noooo, I didn't get in the water! I just like walking in the sand where the people are. My humans took a walk on this really long pier (I wasn't allowed) someone caught a baby shark. That scared me, I'm with Binx, we don't want to be shark snacks! I love my life too much! Thanks for the warning and watching out for us!

Hey Bubba! That's cool you got to go to the beach! I've never been to the beach! And it's ok to be afraid of the waves! I agree with everyone else about NOT going in the water! Don't know about sharks, but down here in the lakes there are these things called "gators". They're bad! They grab dogs and cats, drag them into the water to drown them and then eat them! SCARY! I'll stick to the pool!

Hey Harry! Gators? Never head for em but definately will stay away! They sound very not cool. I've heard my humans talk about a pool and it sounds great. I would love to get in a pool, no weird animals that don't like dogs (and who doesn't like dogs? WE ARE TOO COOL). Anyway thanks for the friend add, we are going to be great friends. Hi to all of my friends here, I wish that I had a pool to swim in. There is no safe place for me to swim with the gators and the sharks and our apartment complex says no dogs in the pool, what is the deal with that!! Have a great day everyone! :) Binx

Yeah, why aren't dogs allowed? I wasn't allowed on the pier at the beach either. What were they afraid I'd jump off? No way my dad would let me. Hey maybe we should open up a pool for dogs (and cats if they want to get wet, but they'd probably just want to watch). Everyone would want to be there, only animal loving humans allowed along with the coolest animals ever!

Hi Bubba, it beats me why us great dogs are not allowed in the pools here at the complex, we are better behaved than most of the kids here! At least I am anyway!! :) That would be great to have a big pool for us dogs, I would so be there! My mom said that here in Florida where it is so hot all the time there should be indoor parks for people to take their dogs, she thinks that would be a great place to go! Talk to you later!! :) Binx

Don't worry, Rainbow! No lakes for me! The water's too dirty! I like my nice clean pool! Why don't you guys have your parents buy you a little "kiddie" pool? I used to have one when I was little and afraid of the water!

Hi there Harry, I did have a little "kiddie" pool here where we live. There are so many little kids that try and run up at me full speed ahead and don't like to leave me alone at all. They think that because I am cute they want to get ahold of me. They even run to the car when my mommy and I are driving down the road to our building. I am so glad that I have a great mommy because she doesn't let them get me! My mommy has tried so many times to explain that is not a good thing to do since it scares me and then i bark a lot, but they do not seem to understand at all, they don't even speak to her in English so we don't know if they even know what she is saying to them. So mommy finally had to get rid of the little pool. Oh well, what is a good dog to do... Talk to you later! :) Binx

Hey Binx! That's too bad! You need to learn and growl at them and then they'll get scared and leave you alone! It's just a defense mechanism I use! I would never hurt anyone!

Hi there Harry. I do growl some but mostly bark, I am really good at that! I have a mean sounding bark when i get scared! Sometimes it doesn't do any good though, they will try and touch me again when they see me the next time, foolish people! I would never hurt anyone either but I sure can scare some people though!! My mommy tells me all the time she is going to call the Dog Whisperer on me, I say sure you will, haha!! Have a great day! :) Binx

Exactly, growl. I don't growl so much as I bark. I see someone walking close to "my" yard and I start with soft barks (sound more like loud burbs), they get closer, I get louder. I've got it to where the UPS guy won't come to our door. Hehe unless he has some treats. I would never hurt anyone either, heck I just wanna play, but I gotta know who you are first! You have to watch out for yourself Binx. Don't let anyone scare you. It's better to be safe than sorry. Trust me your mommy will agree. It's great to be a good dog, but you gotta watch yourself too.

Hi Bubba, oh believe me, people hear me really good when i bark at them! Then I try and hide behind my mommy! I only bark though if someone tries to mess with me or my mommy though. I do not like anyone to disturb us when she is taking me for a ride in the car or when someone tries to come in our house! I did bark at a guy that was being really weird and making scarry faces at me when mommy was talking to someone and she didn't see him do it. Anyway, have a great day! :) Binx

Hey Bubba, I love going to the beach too! Here they have a doggy beach and its in the bay so there are no waves, I haven't experienced waves before, just little ones from boats far out! I am glad that you like it and hope you get to go more, I am sorry that your Dad didn't let you play with all of the other dogs, maybe he will next time!
