About My Family: I live with my mom, and we've been together for a little over 7 months. I was in a shelter when she found me. My other people just let me go, and the minute my mom saw me, she knew I was the right dog for her. I don't have any brothers or sisters, human or canine, but I have lots of human "cousins" who I just adore, especially the baby. She likes to call "Dog", and when I run to her, she laughs!
I First Met My Human Guardian(s)...: My mom lost her other dog, Duchess in October, and was very sad, so the day after Thanksgiving, she went to the shelter to see if she could find another pet and best friend. Her application was approved the very next day, and after I was spayed, I was able to go to my new home, with my Mom, Grandpa, and cousin Amanda. I was so happy, but so tired from not sleeping in the shelter, so as soon as I got into the car, I fell asleep on Amanda's lap. She and my new mom sat for hours trying to think of a name for me. They tried all different names from "Misha" to "Belle", but my Mom's favorite flower is a lily, and because I'm white, and lilies represent a new beginning, she called me "Lily".
My Guardian's Favorite Story About Me: Oh, there are so many stories, but I guess the one that makes me most proud is the day I tried to save my neighbor when she was being attacked by two pit-bulls. I was in the house, and my Mom was at work, but I tried very hard to get outside. Now my neighbor knows I watch her like a guardian angel.
Strong Suits: Lily is the most loving dog. She is gentle and sweet, loves children, old people, even the mailman! She's funny and terribly silly sometimes.
The Craziest Thing I've Ever Done: The craziest thing I've ever done is eating my Mom's brand new sofa and chair in the living room. I was only here a few weeks, and was lonely when my Mom went to work. I was in my "Adolescent" stage, and really liked to chew, so the sofa and chair seemed like a good choice. Mom wasn't angry, but I got scolded, and don't do it any more.
Hobbies/Pastimes/Activites My favorite hobby is playing in my yard, chasing squirrels, rabbits and birds, eating clover, and chasing the ball when my mom throws it. I like to walk along the river, and watch the ducks.
The Perfect Day For Me: Having the whole day when my mom is home, and she doesn't have to go to work.
Other Thoughts: I can't wait to hear from all of my friends.
