Why did your mommy or daddy or your "owner" pick you? Do you come from a shelter or a breeder, if not one of those, where? Anything else you would like to tell us about from where you came from?
My mommy saw me peek my head out from the breeders door while he was coming out, and said thats the one! Mommy says it was like rescuing, all the puppies were kept outside and were covered in fleas, he never took care of us. Mommy also says she didn't pick me, I picked her! I am glad I picked her then! I say we picked each other though!
Aww, what a terrific story, Sissy. Sounds like it was one of those things that was just meant to be! Sorry your first owner kept you in such bad conditions. Thank goodness you have the best mommy now!
I guess you could say that I picked my mom too. I started coming around her door, meowing really loud--I wanted someone to talk to! Wasn't long till I stole her heart!

I had a 50/50 chance because my Mommy wanted a boy dog and Mommy and Daddy picked me because I was the calm one when they did that test where they have you lie on your back in their hands!
Oh yeah, some other people had me before, found out that their daughter was allergic to me and had to give me back, then, I picked mommy right out! Nice stories Harry and Neary, and your quite welcome!
I'm like you, Sissy and Neary! My mom went to a no-kill shelter to pick out a doggie and I picked HER by jumping as high as her shoulder. That was seven years ago and here I am, my happy friendly self!

My mom was at the local shelter dropping off some stuff and took a stroll through to look at the animals. My six siblings and I we're in this huge cage and I was the only sucker to come to the edge. She says it was love at first sight. I had two other 'holds' on me but they both fell through. So...here I am :)
Aww, Tinkerbell. :) I totally see how it was love at first sight for you and your mom. You're so adorable. It's so great that she ended up getting you even though there were two other folks who wanted you. Guess some things were meant to be, right? :D
both of us came from breeders. tira was a early Christmas gift for dad cause he'd never had his own Lab before and he loves our breed. i was picked to be a friend/mate for tira and because i was the biggest most loving pup in my litter.
