I First Met My Human Guardian(s)...: In a pet shop for fish. I was in a wire crate, starving, just brought in from the Naples, Florida, dog track. She came in for fish food, turned around and saw me. She asked the owner a few questions, and I was allowed to walk about the shop. She said she would come back in the afternoon and take me home. She lied. She took me straight to the vet for an exam. Although my bones were sticking out all over, the vet said I was in good health. I walked straight into the house and met Abel, another rescue dog. Then I decided to cry and bark for two weeks, just to see if she really was worthy as my new owner. In addition, I had diarrhia for two weeks. Suddenly, I decided I liked this new home. I especially liked the fact that I could still run around outside the 2000+ sq. ft. house, two times each day, at breakneck speed whenever I pleased. And no more cages.
